Same here...

I had a 8.0.0 All clients on XP and upgraded to 8.0.1. I got failure from Eclipse with a large log file.
Installed again. "A critical error has occired..." .
OK I uninstalled. This could not be done : "There was a serious error during the installation".
OK. Reboot. Uninstall again. Same problem.
Then I removed all Notes files manually and rebooted.
I installed again. this time without activities, without Synphony and without Composite applicaton editor.
Success....
But I could not start the Notes client... Designer and Admin started but not the Notes client.

I created a new shortcut, and was able to start Notes Basic... but not the Eclipse.

I started the installation and did a repair. I got a "The wizard was interrupted before Lotus Notes 8.0.1 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installatoin at another time, please run setup again."
OK. Rebbot and setup. No luck - same thing.

Uninstall will not work, so I removed all Notes files, and most Lotus Notes entries from registration database. New install with all selected. Then I get : "
CWPPR0025E: An unexpected error occurred while processing the provisioning manifest.
Unexpected results have occured during the provisioning operation. for additional information please refer to the logs: C:\...\Worplace\logs..."

I will now uninstalled for the 4th time and keep trying.

NB: I have another PC with Vista 64 bit. this did the 8.0.0 to 8.0.1 upgrade without any problems.

Is 8.0.1 ready for prime time?
